About Us
A proud Alaskan family, both Andre and Tara were born and raised in Anchorage. Andre traveled the world as a professional ski racer before obtaining his Master of Business Administration from UAA. Tara is an art nerd with a heart for people, and holds a Master of Social Work from UAA. They like to joke that they met at a bar…but in reality, they met at church!
25 years, two amazing daughters, 3 dogs and too many cars, tractors and trailers to count later, they continue to share a passion for seeing those who cross their paths to both thrive and win.
Rabbit Creek Vista holds a special place in their hearts, as it was the home of Tara’s parents and the property on which they were married and later spent countless hours with the grandparents raising their girls in a spirit of life, love and laughter.
The uniqueness of the space was designed for community, you can ask anyone who has had the pleasure of visiting, breaking bread or out-staying their welcome!
Andre and Tara (with the help and expertise of family, friends and local experts in their fields and craft) have remodeled this home to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, bringing compassion and care to create a safe and nurturing space for the special souls that reside there. With dedicated staff and supportive services, it is the ultimate hope and intent for each resident to enjoy every day in comfort, creativity, community and care.
As a family, they try to live out their highest values: faith, character, hope, honesty, respect and love…and desire those values to show not only in the lives they lead, but the work and service they provide.
